People With Smiles Camp 2019!
Location:
People With Smiles Camp is held at the beautiful Camp For All facility in Burton, Texas.
We created our camp and specifically designed it for those who have Prader-Willi Syndrome. Most with PWS cannot attend traditional camps due to food issues. We have designed meals and snacks to comply with the specialized needs of those with PWS and still provide a Fun and Exciting camp experience that otherwise might not have been possible. Our volunteer's are dedicated to not only making sure our camper's have the time of their lives, but also to ensure their safety with issues specific to Prader-Willi Syndrome. In order to attend you must be at least 8 years of age and you must have Prader-Willi Syndrome. You do not have to live in Texas.
Fee: $230, $50 deposit due at time of registration (includes:1:1 camper/counselor ratio, 1 camp t-shirt, lodging, PWS friendly meal plan and all activities).
Spots are limited and filled on a "first come, first serve" basis.
Weekend Fun
Campers will be provided with
- PWS friendly meal plan
- 1:1 camper/counselor ratio
- scheduled activities
- on location medical staff to administer medicines and tend to incidents
This weekend is about your camper having a fantastic weekend and enjoying all there is to going to camp overnight, but we also hope the weekend brings respite to guardians and siblings.
Cost for the weekend is $230, this includes a $50 deposit at time of registration. The fee covers all meals, lodging, activities and camp shirt. Registration add ons: $15 extra tshirt and $5+ if you'd like your camper to have spending money in the camp store.
Campers must be 8+, an exception will be made for 7-year-olds if parent attends as camper's counselor.
