An enormous THANK YOU!! to all our family, friends and benefactors who supported our fundraising efforts for the Molly’s Pub 13th Annual Charity Golf Tournament benefiting our Texas Prader-Willi Association. Your generosity keeps us moving forward with our mission to help all those affected by Prader-Willi Syndrome.
The October 2 event was a beautiful day with over forty golf teams! I am incredibly grateful to Molly's Pubs, golfers, sponsors, volunteers, auction participants and donors. Donations are still coming in and we hope to beat last year’s total! Your generous and continued support ensures that our organization can continue to strive for awareness, education, and acceptance of our loved ones with this rare and extraordinarily complex disorder.
Your support for this event made it possible to open two PWS-specific group homes in Conroe. They are full and operating smoothly with dedicated staff offering comfort and safety. The 13th annual People with Smiles Camp was a huge success. Nearly 60 individuals with PWS had the time of their lives at Morgan’s Wonderland Camp in San Antonio. Our 4th bi-annual statewide conference is scheduled for January 2025. Every dollar matters to us, and you can see your generosity is being put to good use.

Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) is a non-hereditary genetic disorder affecting one in 15,000 people. Common traits of PWS include (literally) insatiable hunger complicated by a very slow metabolism, learning disabilities, speech and developmental delays, severe behavioral issues and weak muscle tone.
The personal, financial and emotional challenges for those with PWS and their families/caregivers is tremendous, requiring relentless vigilance and life-long attention and support. Can you imagine never feeling full; always hungry?
Because of our generous donors, we’ve been very successful, allowing us to sponsor PWS (People With Smiles) Camp. This is the ninth year we’ve been able to offer PWS kids a true camp experience and their families an overdue respite. We avidly support our transitional, residential and crisis care facilities to improve the welfare of our aging children. We’re passionate about promoting PWS education, raising awareness while working to improve communication within the PWS community.
